What's a Chibi? Simply put, it's a style of caricature that started in Japan in which the characters are drawn with really big heads and tiny bodies to make them look childlike and very cute. Known more often as SD or super-deformed in Japan, it's commonly referred to as "chibi" in the US, from the Japanese word for "small.". By "chibi-ing" a character or person, you're doing a caricature or parody of them, but one that's not insulting or demeaning - just adorable :-).

I'm trying to finish up some updates before I get consumed with the convention and then my new house, so here's another one for you guys. I have little chibi caracatures of three of the main cast of Heroes in their original outfits from the first season.

Just another update as I attempt to get a little bit closer in my eternal game of catch-up on this website. I think my problem is if I'm going to be working on my art, I'd rather be drawing than uploading :-).
In any event, I am finally adding the cast of Ouran High School Host Club.
Only 6 days until AWA!

Only one more week and I'll be in the Dealer's Room setting up my booth for this year - woo-hoo! I actually finished preparing ahead of time this year - a first for me. Normally I start prep work in about mid-June and am working frantically up until the day before the con. This year I started in July and actually finished two weeks early. I'm looking forward to seeing everyone :-)
In personal news, not that this matters to anyone but me (but it does help explain my lack of recent updates), I'll be buying my first house this month - the day after the convention, in fact! What can I say, I've been a very busy girl.
I do have one small update for today:
- Pino from Ergo Proxy
- Re'l from Ergo Proxy
- Vincent from Ergo Proxy
I will be making some changes with the company who's been providing my bandwidth, which will probably result in this site being down for a little bit. Here's hoping all goes smoothly...

Another update, and less than a week after the last one! Don't get used to it, folks, but enjoy it while it lasts ;-).
I've put up the chibis from JaniCon 2007 in the Convention Chibis Gallery! Woo-hoo! Now I'm only one con behind instead of three! If I keep up at this rate, I may almost have everything I promised myself I would have up last September up by this September! And maybe then I can stop using exclamation points at the end of every sentence! Or not!
Totally-Non-Anime-Related-Side-Note: Go see Iron Man. It rules.

MTAC was awesome - thanks so much to everyone who stopped by my booth! I think I set a personal record for "hours spent drawing at a con."
I actually have a fairly major update (a shocker, I know)
(Drumroll, please) I have finally put up the Chibi Gallery for AWA 2007.
Took me long enough, huh? I have the pics ready for Jani-Con 2007 as well, so those should be up soon, too, with the MTAC 2008 pics to follow.
For those keeping track on the anime/video game/show front, the last remaining chibis to go up are from Ouran Highs School Host Club, Ergo Proxy, Naruto: Shippuuden, Heroes, and The Office.
I can't say when, exactly, that they'll be up, but at least I'm moving forward, huh?
